Dear Doctors,
I am Michelle Zhang from Guangzhou, the south of China and I have looking for many ways to know RETINOBLASTOMA INTERNATIONAL that is fighting the Children eyes cancer and I am eager to get the help for my friend’s baby girl from RBI.
I have a friend, whose daughter is one year old and lovely. In this January, the baby girl’s right eye looked like cat’s eye and a white "glow" in the dim lighting, but the sign was not so obvious and was detected in the night time. However, it became more serious and it can be detected frequently, not only in the night time but also in the day time. My friend sent his daughter to hospital right away, the baby girl had the examination for right eye and the results are as attached. The doctor preliminary diagnose is RETINOBLASTOMA and the doctor suggested to take out the right eyeball. It is greatly shocked for my friend, the baby girl’s daddy. He loves his daughter so much and cannot the brutal truth the brutal truth. But he has to determine whether his daughter would do the operation of taking out the right eyeball tomorrow（China time April 19, 2006. Otherwise, it would threat the life for the baby girl.
As we learnt from the internet, this cancer is curable if caught early enough, but we don’t know whether there is better method that it is no need to take the eyeball out. So I am writing the email to you so urgently to get the professional advices, of course, we don’t want to take the eyeball away if there is any better ways to save the baby girl.
